Broward Youth Coalition of The United Way of Broward County’s Commission on Behavioral Health & Drug Prevention’s will host its annual Youth Leadership Institute (YLI) virtually this year June 16-17 via Zoom, from 2 to 4:30 p.m.
The free, two-day virtual youth summit for students in eighth grade through graduating high school seniors will focus on mental health promotion, resilience during a pandemic, substance use prevention, leadership, advocacy through youth-led sessions, and will provide a chance for youth to connect with their peers. This virtual event will feature special guests, including keynote speaker Colber Prosper, the founder of Prosper & Partners, a global personnel and organizational consulting firm that seeks to develop innovative solutions to complex problems. Participants will have the chance to earn community service hours, as well as participate to earn prizes.
