Now through July 30, the United Way of Broward County will host its Backpack Broward School Supply Drive to collect essential supplies for local students. The organization will support families who are already thinking about how they will be able to afford school supplies for their children next year.

Donors can either make a financial contribution of $50 to sponsor a child’s backpack filled with supplies here or donate a filled backpack to the United Way of Broward County. For the filled backpack, donors are encouraged to bring a new backpack filled with an assortment of notebooks, folders, highlighters, glue sticks, erasers, pens, pencils, scissors, crayons, rulers, index cards, hand sanitizer, masks, Clorox wipes, and tissue paper to United Way of Broward County’s Ansin Building in Fort Lauderdale (1300 South Andrews Avenue, Fort Lauderdale, FL 33316) Monday through Friday, from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.

All of supply drive supporters are encouraged to take a picture with a sign (click here for sign) and share it on social media using the hashtags #LIVEUNITEDBroward and #BACKPACKBROWARD.
