To continue its newfound virtual traditions in the coronavirus climate, the Boca Raton Museum of Art will extend the “Keep Kids Smart with Art” initiative with a new schedule of art classes at the Art School Campus, beginning Monday, July 6, through August 14. Children, teenagers, and adults can choose from an exciting array of innovative art workshops and experiences.
“We have created new summer sessions for the community, to meet the changing needs and concerns of families,” said Irvin Lippman, the executive director of the Boca Raton Museum of Art. “The Boca Raton Museum Art School is offering innovative morning and afternoon sessions, allowing parents flexibility to choose class times that work for their family’s schedules.”
Students will be immersed in various creative environments where they will learn to express themselves and communicate in new ways. Art School students are encouraged to channel their boundless creativity into fun and colorful projects in the school’s studios. All sessions will be led by a roster of award-winning art faculty.
Students will explore artistic mediums like drawing, painting, or jewelry design, and can even try their hand at journal-making and cartooning. All skill levels are welcome to have a little fun this summer. In the new abbreviated summer format, morning and afternoon sessions are available on a weekly basis to fit any schedule.
To keep sessions safe and socially distanced, the Art School will require masks per county ordinances for all adults, has an increased cleaning schedule, will limit classrooms to 10 students, provide each student their own supplies, and more.
