The Rotary Club of Weston will host its annual Rotary Run for Tomorrow 5K, 10K, half marathon, and half marathon relay events virtually this year from December 5 to 13. The celebration will also feature an in-person Health & Fitness Festival and in-person Mayor’s Get Fit Challenge on Sunday, December 6, from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. The City of Weston and Joe DiMaggio Children’s Hospital are presenting the event.
All runners are invited to run at the locations of their choice and complete the run from December 5–13. Run results will be tracked by RaceJoy and automatically uploaded to a central database. Artfully designed runner medals and Dri-Fit shirts will be provided to all runners. Registration costs $40 for the 5K and 10K, $71 for the half marathon, and $156 for the half marathon relay.
Participants of all ages can get involved in the Mayor’s Get Fit Challenge and the Health & Fitness Festival, a wellness-focused event open to the community. To ensure that social distancing guidelines are observed, the festival and Mayor’s Get Fit Challenge will take place at multiple locations across Weston, including Cypress Bay High School and Vista Park, both from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. A variety of fitness, wellness, and health activities will be offered at every location. Registration is free.
