The Westin Fort Lauderdale Beach Resort will cater to dog parents with its new monthly series, Tail Waggin’ Terrace, kicking off on May 26. Tequila Terrace at Lona Cocina & Tequileria will set the scene for guests and their pups to enjoy sunset “Yappy Hour” from 6 to 8 p.m. The event is free and open to the public.
Pamper pets with playdates, treats, and complimentary cocktails, all made using pet-safe ingredients such as water, carrot juice, and chicken broth. Pet parents can indulge in themed cocktails for $12, including Xolo, made with tequila, lime, apple, and Fever Tree lemon tonic; La Raza, featuring tequila, lime, apple, and Fever Tree pink grapefruit tonic; and Nacho, crafted with tequila, lime, apple, and sparkling lemon. A portion of proceeds from the specialty cocktails will benefit Animal Aid, a local nonprofit adoption center and clinic that takes on emergency, abuse, and neglect cases, as well as animals from various animal control agencies in South Florida.
