Movies by Moonlight at The LOOP

Las Olas Oceanside Park (The LOOP) will set the scene for the Movies by Moonlight: Dog Days of Summer series July 22, August 26, and September 23, for locals and their pets. Presented by the City of Fort Lauderdale Beach Improvement District (BID), the move night series will be hosted by Ana and Teddy of behind the award-winning @TourwithTeddy Instagram and “Living A Fairytail” blog

Guests of all ages are encouraged to bring lawn chairs, blankets, and a movie date to the main lawn at Las Olas Oceanside Park. Movies include: Dog Days (Rated PG) on July 22, sponsored by PetWell Clinics; Best in Show (Rated PG), sponsored by New York Life and hosted by Tour with Teddy in honor of National Dog Day; and The Secret Life of Pets (Rated PG), sponsored by WE Florida Financial. All movies begin at 8 p.m.

Come early to dine at one of Fort Lauderdale Beach’s restaurants or bring a picnic for dinner under the stars. Movie goers can also stop by the people and pets marketplace to shop new and returning vendors from 5:30 to 10 p.m.

The July 22 event will feature a Pet Fashion Contest sponsored by Petit Pups Pawtique, and the August 26 event will boast a Back-to-School fashion show sponsored by Salon Bark and The Pretty Nomad, Dög Pawrignon Champagne Bar, and The W Fort Lauderdale.

Movie snacks and drinks are available to purchase onsite and limited chairs and picnic blankets are available to borrow. All pre-registered children under the age of ten will received a complimentary bag of popcorn courtesy of Petwell Clinics, New York Life, and WE Florida Financial Credit Union.

Pups will chow down on complimentary dinners sponsored by Yum Pup. Pet Hydration Stations from PetWell Clinic Fort Lauderdale and Pembroke Pines, and SupPup Selfie Stations sponsored by Blue Moon Adventures add to the fun.

Each month, guests will have the opportunity to purchase a Golden Ticket ($10) for the chance to win a Yappy Hour VIP Bottle Service from W Fort Lauderdale, or a two-day, one-night stay at some of Fort Lauderdale’s pet-friendly hotels including Bahia Mar Fort Lauderdale Beach, the Kimpton Goodland Hotel, and AC Marriott Fort Lauderdale Beach.

At each event, Yum Pup is offering guests the opportunity to win a box of four, one-pound bags of dog food of various flavors when they share a photo from the event on Instagram tag #theloopflb and @yumpup.
