Grammy- and Emmy-winning artist Harry Connick Jr. will take the Au-Rene Theater stage at the Broward Center for the Performing Arts on January 28 for the Broward Performing Arts Foundation’s 2022 Annual Celebration, presented by Dr. Lee and Brigitte Mandel, and the South Florida Sinus and Allergy Center.

The festivities will kick off with a cocktail reception at 5:30 p.m. on the Wendt Terraces at the Huizenga Pavilion. At 7 p.m., the Annual Celebration guests will take their VIP seats in the Au-Rene Theater for Connick’s performance. After the show, the party continues with an elegant dinner and dancing on stage. Proceeds from the evening support the education and enrichment programs at the Broward Center.

Connick will showcase classics from his remarkable 40-year career as a gifted interpreter of the Great American Songbook. The acclaimed actor, singer, bandleader, and composer has earned a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, three Grammys, two Emmys, Tony Award nominations, and has sold more than 28 million albums globally. He released his latest record, Alone With My Faith, amid the pandemic. Connick wrote and arranged many of the songs, played every instrument, and sang every part.

“Harry Connick Jr. is the ultimate performer who is one of the most talented and respected in the industry. We are thrilled to have him headline the Annual Celebration,” said Lisa Kitei, president of the Broward Performing Arts Foundation. “Everyone who attends this spectacular concert is in for a fantastic evening of entertainment, and at the same time, they will be supporting the Broward Center.”
