To provide families with festive Halloween fun this October, Tree Tops Park (3900 S.W. 100th Ave.) in Davie will host Haunt Drive beginning on October 8. The event promises fun and scares for guests of all ages in a contactless setting. Proceeds from the event will be donated to the Museum of Discovery and Science, Parkland Cares, and the Parks Foundation of Broward County. Tickets must be purchased in advance here.
Haunt Drive will be hosted on select evenings at 6 p.m. through November 1 and kick off with a designated family-friendly hour when children can enjoy candy and guests can watch the park’s creatures come to life. The main events, like Messy Car, the Dark Woods Walk, and the Trial of the Witch Hunter, begin at 7 p.m. and include a spooky mix of theatrical storytelling, twisted characters, and unexpected scares for thrill-seekers.
“With all the unfortunate events of this past year, we knew we had to do something big to bring the Halloween fun to South Florida,” said Wayne Labush, CEO of Event Services Group, one of the organizers of Haunt Drive. “Of course, our big focus is on doing so in a COVID-safe environment and giving back to a number of fantastic organizations that serve our local community.”
Guests will be encouraged to bring takeout to Haunt Drive and support local restaurants that have been hit especially hard during these difficult times. No food will be sold at the event.
“Doing this event was a ‘no brainer’ and we are excited to partner with Event Services Group and all the wonderful organizations that will benefit from Haunt Drive,” said Jaime Steadman, founder of Mythic Builds. “We’re committed to making this one of the most memorable and safe Halloween events that has something for everyone.”
