Greater Fort Lauderdale Beer Week (GFLBW) will return this weekend with a mix of virtual and socially distanced in-person events beginning Saturday, September 12 to Sunday, September 20. Following months of state-mandated closures, the eight-day event will support and highlight Greater Fort Lauderdale’s coveted craft beer scene.
This hoppy celebration will showcase the region’s breweries, bottle shops, restaurants, and craft-centric businesses, all while creating a sense of community and attracting beer tourism.
“Now, more than ever, craft breweries and bottle shops, need our support, ” said Frances Antonio-Martineau, founder of the Greater Fort Lauderdale Beer Week, FemAle Brew Fest, and Fem Collective. “The craft beer industry has been affected heavily by the regulations imposed on them due to the pandemic, and we hope this week, although virtual and socially distant, can help keep these small businesses top of mind for all of us here in Broward County”
GFLBW and its partners believe it is important to move forward with the week in an effort to support these small businesses during this unprecedented times.
