The thirty-fifth annual FHVLegal.com Golf Classic will return to The Club at Weston Hills on April 1, benefiting the Rotary Club of Weston Scholarship Fund. Fort Lauderdale-based law firm Freedland Harwin Valori Ryan, PL (FHV) is serving as the event’s title sponsor for the fifteenth consecutive year. Longtime Weston resident Michael Freedland, Esq., one of the firm’s founding partners, is leading the sponsorship. He is a former president of the Rotary Club of Weston and has chaired the event for years.
The Golf Classic will kick off with registration and breakfast at 6:30 a.m., followed by time at the driving range. The shotgun-style event kicks off at 8:30 a.m., culminated by the Tournament Awards Luncheon at 1 p.m. Registration for an individual golfer is $600 and includes one ticket to the luncheon and two tickets to the drawdown and cocktail event. Tickets for the luncheon for non-golfers are $100 each.
The annual golf tournament has raised more than $2 million in scholarships for the Rotary Club of Weston Scholarship Fund, which supports local college-bound high school seniors. One hundred percent of net tournament proceeds go toward the scholarships, which will be presented to outstanding seniors from Cypress Bay High School, Western High School, The Sagemont School, and HANDY.
“In addition to a great day of golf, attendees will get to help the leaders of tomorrow achieve their dreams of going to college,” said Keith Petron, chair of the FHVLegal.com Golf Classic. “We are so grateful to our supporters for joining us in making a difference in the lives of our community’s young adults.”
Freedland Harwin Valori Ryan, PL is the title sponsor for the event. Additional sponsors include Acuderm, Mohsin & Fauzia Jaffer Foundation, Gillman Homes, and Hooters.
