Happy birthday, Funky Buddha Brewery! Oakland Park’s resident craft brewery will celebrate a decade in the city this week with new brews and a lineup of events. To commemorate the occasion, Funky Buddha co-owners and brothers KC Sentz and Ryan Sentz will unveil three exclusive brews on June 10: Confetti Cuddles, Coconut Cream Pie IPA, and Bob’s Backyard.
In addition to the special edition beers, the brewery has been hosting packed 10-day lineup of special events leading up to a brewery bash June 10, complete with drafts, live music, bottle releases, and more.
The festivities continue June 7 with a Mega Flight Night from 6 to 9 p.m at the Oakland Park taproom. Funky Buddha’s “besties,” including Wilton Creamery, Hoffman’s Chocolates, and Boardgasm, will craft an epic assortment of a la carte flight pairings to enjoy.
Then, join Funky Buddha in cheering on the Florida Panthers in game three of the Stanley Cup June 8, kicking off at 8 p.m. at the taproom. Enjoy craft brews while watching the Cats play the Las Vegas Golden Knights on all televisions throughout the taproom (with sound on). In addition, Funky Buddha chefs will offer up a buy one get one on wings from 4 p.m. until close.
Hungry for more? Head to the Oakland Park taproom June 9 for Beer Dinner. From 7:30 to 9:30 p.m., enjoy an exclusive pairing dinner in Funky Buddha’s private event space. The four-course dinner will be prepared by the in-house culinary team and accompanied by a curated beer menu. The evening’s menu includes sliced Prime tenderloin with red ale caper sauce, Parmesan crisp, and maitake mushroom; cucumber Saison ceviche with ginger-wrapped watermelon; Vanilla Butter-Blonde Ale-poached triple tail with mango fennel slaw and yucca; and baked Islamorada with key lime ice cream, toasted meringue, and coconut orange Drizzle. Dinner is $75 and includes a welcome drink. Reserve your ticket here.
The festivities conclude with the all-day Ten Year Anniversary Party June 10. Enjoy live music sets by Tasty Vibrations, Live From 05, and Spider Cherry from 1 to 6 p.m., then play games until close.
