Family Fun Awaits at Tri-Rail’s Rail Fun Day

The annual family event returns with live entertainment, arts and crafts, interactive games, cookie decorating, and more March 4

Tri-Rail’s “Rail Fun Day” will return to the Fort Lauderdale/Hollywood International Airport Station at Dania Beach March 4, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. This event was originally scheduled for February 4, but was rescheduled due to inclement weather. 

The annual free day of family fun boasts live entertainment, arts and crafts, interactive games, cookie decorating, photos with Tri-Rail’s mascot Conductor George Green and other popular costume characters, face painting, giveaways, food trucks, and the “South Florida’s Kids Got Talent” singing competition.

Children and their families will enjoy interactive games, arts and crafts with Art and Culture Center Hollywood, and activities from popular South Florida businesses and organizations, including Dunkin’, History Miami Museum, Humane Society of Broward County, Florida Children’s Theatre, Le P’ti Club, Camp Live Oak, and the Museum of Discovery & Science. Food will be available for purchase from Jake’s Drive-In Burgers, Waffle King, Rocked & Loaded, and Carlotta Gelati.

Attendees will also enjoy live stage entertainment by local arts groups, plus Tri-Rail’s “South Florida’s Kids Got Talent” show, where young stars will show off their singing talents. The winner will receive $500, a one-year contract inclusive of a photo shoot with composite cards courtesy of Posche Models & Talent, and professional studio and music video recording sessions with Mike Soper Music.

The singers set to compete are: Erin Scott (Boynton Beach), Hannah Padilla (Miami), Isabella Nazzaro (Lake Worth), Julia Falcao (Palm Beach), Kai Bui (Fort Lauderdale), Keith Pecker (Boca Raton), Lana Lynn Anozar (Miramar), Leah Steiner (Boca Raton), NaliyahPacheco (Hollywood), Sophia Victoria (Wellington), Tillia Ubeda (Lighthouse Point), and Victoria Johnson (Boca Raton).

Guests are encouraged to ride the train to the event. Round-trip fares are $5 for adults and free for kids aged 12 and younger on this day only. The first 200 ticketed riders to visit the Tri-Rail booth and present a valid Tri-Rail ticket from February 4, 2023, will receive a welcome gift.
