All Saints Episcopal Church and Ballyhoo Media will launch Floating Films by Starlight, a free monthly outdoor movie night experience for the community, beginning October 22.
Movie-goers of all ages will enjoy family-friendly films on 60-foot floating screens along the New River, behind the Church in Brion Park (333 Tarpon Drive in Fort Lauderdale). The monthly screenings will run from October through December, and will showcase three movies on select Saturdays each month: Encanto on October 22; The Princess and the Frog on November 19; and The Muppet Christmas Carol on December 17.
Gates open at 5:45 p.m. Attendees will mingle and enjoy surprise activities before the movies officially begin at 7 p.m. Popcorn, candy, ice cream novelties, and soft drinks will be available for purchase. Facepainting and games will also be available. Guests are encouraged to bring a blanket or lawn chair for viewing.
