Get ready to Eat Your Heart Out at Fort Lauderdale’s favorite food and “fun”raiser, featuring gourmet creations, fresh libations, and live entertainment on October 13, from 6-8:30 p.m. at Galleria Fort Lauderdale.

The ninth annual event will benefit Heart Gallery of Broward County, a nonprofit organization committed to finding loving families for the hardest to place foster children, as well as honor City Furniture as its Child Advocate of the Year. Eric Yutzy, WPLG Local 10 morning news anchor, will serve as host.

Restaurants serving up delicious plates at this year’s Eat Your Heart Out include: Andy’s Live Fire Grill & Bar; Canyon; Eddie V’s Prime Seafood; Funky Buddha; Hellenic Republic; Lips; Press & Grind; S3; Season’s 52; Sweeter Days Bake Shop; The Capital Grille; Tulio’s Tacos & Tequila Bar; and Wilton Creamery. Cooper’s Hawk Winery & Restaurants will host an exclusive wine bar, while Harry Blu’s Gin and Stoli will craft cocktails at the open bar. Live entertainment will be provided by songstress Laura Vivas, a former contestant on The Voice.

Heart Gallery of Broward County launched in 2007 as a traveling photography exhibit of foster children who were waiting to be adopted. It has developed a partnership with ChildNet and local foster care providers to seek adoptive families and other connections for these children.
