Broward Center Launches Backlot Live Series

The Fort Lauderdale performing arts venue will kick off the new outdoor entertainment series with comedian Rob Schneider on January 22

The Broward Center in Fort Lauderdale will debut an all-new outdoor stage to entertain fans under the stars for the upcoming performance season. The performing arts venue converted the Lillian S. Wells Backstage Parking Lot into Backlot Live at the Broward Center, a seated event space.

Backlot Live will kick off this month with performances by comedy star Rob Schneider on Jan. 22, at 7 and 9:30 p.m. Tickets for the outdoor show start at $40 and can be purchased here.

The fun will continue with a “In the Light of Led Zeppelin” tribute concert on Feb. 20, a tribute to one of America’s Greatest rock bands with Best of the Eagles on Feb. 27, and the pop and classical crossover sensation Well-Strung on March 13. To adhere to Centers for Disease Control and Prevention guidelines, guests will be required to wear face coverings at all times unless actively consuming food and beverages in designated seating areas. Food and beverage will be available for sale and must be consumed only at patrons’ seats. These events are wheelchair accessible.

Ticket sales will benefit the Broward Center’s Road to Recovery Fund to support operations as the center prepares for the day when the doors reopen.
