Broward Center Debuts Jazz Series

The TD Jazz Series will welcome internationally renowned, award-winning musicians and vocalists to the Broward Center and The Parker

The sultry sounds of jazz by internationally renowned, award-winning musicians and vocalists will fill the Broward Center for the Performing Arts and The Parker during the TD Jazz Series this season. The series kicked off on November 3 with “An Evening with Brian Culbertson” at The Parker.

“We have two firsts here as we welcome TD Bank as a new sponsor of the Broward Center and announce our inaugural Jazz Series,” said Broward Center President and CEO Kelley Shanley. “With TD Bank’s support we are featuring an array of sophisticated sounds from classic and contemporary jazz to big band and swing with such musicians and vocalists as Herb Albert and Lani Hall, Brian Culbertson, Chris Botti, and Eddie Palmieri. It will be a fantastic season of jazz at the Broward Center and The Parker.”

The music resumes at the Broward Center December 2 with “A Christmas Wish with Herb Alpert & Lani Hall.” The rest of the Broward Center season will include: International Guitar Night featuring Jocelyn Gould, Jesus Guerrero, Olli Soikkeli, and Stephanie Jones January 22; and Big Band of Brothers: A Jazz Celebration of The Allman Brothers January 27.

The Parker’s TD Jazz Series returns December 2 with a performance by Tab Benoit. The schedule of The Parker performances includes: The Manhattan Transfer 50th Anniversary with special guest the Diva Jazz Orchestra January 13; Chris Botti January 24; Squirrel Nut Zippers & Dirty Dozen Brass Band’s “The Southern Remedies Tour” February 9; Eddie Palmieri Latin Jazz Band March 5; and Spyro Gyra March 9.
