South Beach’s Bodega Taqueria y Tequila is making itself at home in the 954.
Menin Hospitality is expanding its fast-casual taco joint and late-night speakeasy-style lounge to downtown Fort Lauderdale. Bodega has signed a 10-year lease at 21 W. Las Olas Blvd. in the Bryan Building and is slated to open in spring 2020.
The front half of the taqueria will feature an eccentric, garage-chic space outfitted with graffiti walls, picnic tables, neon bar stools and an authentic Mexican street food menu. A full-sized, retrofitted, vintage airstream-trailer-turned-taco-truck will take orders.
A door inside will pave the way to Bodega’s late-night speakeasy, a place already notorious in Miami for its extensive cocktail menu, happy hour, game days, late-night rendezvous and live music by local bands and famous DJs.
“For a long time, we’ve had our eyes and ears open for the perfect spot in Fort Lauderdale and we’re thrilled to have finally found it,” said Jared Galbut in a press release, co-founder and managing principal of Menin Hospitality. “This is just the beginning for the continued expansion of the Bodega brand.”
Bodega Taqueria y Tequila will be open daily from noon to 5 a.m.
