Stout Bar & Grill

Brush any doubts aside about another Irish restaurant in Fort Lauderdale. This one is full of surprises.

Stout, which opened in March 2012, offers traditional Irish staples like shepherd’s pie or bangers and mash, but we fell for the untraditional dishes on their newly revamped menu. The lobster tapas appetizer, large chunks of lobster with zesty tarragon aioli served on crispy wonton chips, had even a non-seafood lover coming back for more. And Stout’s juicy lamb burger, served with arugula and tzatziki sauce, blended perfectly with the feta cheese topping.

Wash down the meal with an Irish brew or opt for one of Stout’s many craft beers. We took a gamble and fell in love with the Wells Banana Bread beer from England – not too banana-y, just the right amount of flavor.
