Sometimes a burger just hits the spot. And Smashburger hits it dead-on. The burger chain opened a new location in Fort Lauderdale in March, making it the seventh location in Florida. The secret to the burgers is all in the “smash” – the 100-percent Angus beef that’s smashed down onto a 400-degree flat grill to sear in juicy flavor.
Besides the satisfying classic burger, the menu also includes local twists like the Miami Burger (one of our favorites), a patty topped with grilled Spanish chorizo, frita potatoes, aged Swiss cheese, lettuce, tomato, onions and chipotle mayonnaise on a Cuban roll. Looking for something different? Try the rich and decadent Truffle Mushroom Swiss burger.
Save room for a hand-spun Häagen-Dazs shake and the restaurant’s specialty Smashfries made with rosemary, garlic and herbs.
