Here’s What You Need To Know About Sawgrass Mills’ Expansion Of The Colonnade Outlets

Sawgrass Mills’ The Colonnade Outlets, a destination for high-end brands at discount prices, recently underwent a massive expansion. And somehow, there’s even more to come.

What’s better than Prada, Gucci, Versace and Roberto Cavalli all in one place? Prada, Gucci, Versace and Roberto Cavalli in one place—in outlet form.

Just when you thought it couldn’t get any bigger, Sawgrass Mills got bigger—expanding its stretch of high-end storefronts along The Colonnade to more than 60 luxury brands. The outdoor extension to the already internationally known shopping destination boasts high-end name brands at impressive discounts.

What’s new

Retailers now open along the outdoor designer row include Montblanc, Brunello Cucinelli, La Perla, Zadig & Voltaire, CH Carolina Herrera, Helmut Lang, John Varvatos, Marc Jacobs, Rag & Bone, Tod’s, Alexis Bittar, Ted Baker London and Vince. The complete list of 60-plus tenants now includes 52 outlets found nowhere else in South Florida. These shop windows are decorated daily with discount signs. At Marc Jacobs, for example, there’s always 35-75 percent off, while brands like Helmut Lang offer seasonal promotions that can provide an additional 60 percent off the outlet price.

Navigation is key

Just like at any amusement park, concert venue or sports stadium, with great crowds comes great necessity for resources. Sawgrass Mills, which draws comparable daily masses, accommodates shoppers with nine shuttle bus stops around the mall’s campus and valet parking. Joellyn Fellmeth, regional vice president of marketing, encourages shoppers to plan ahead. She suggests seeking one of Sawgrass Mills’ multilingual ambassadors stationed throughout the mall who can offer directions, share information about current deals and help devise a plan.

On the horizon

What’s next for the retail mecca is the addition of a 1,700-space parking garage adjacent to Neiman Marcus Last Call and two new restaurants, including American bistro Matchbox. Coming in the fall of 2018, Sawgrass Mills plans to build a full-price shopping destination called Town Center, where 25 full-price shops and four restaurants will join the Sawgrass Mills experience.
