Armand & Susan Rocco, The Kitchenworks
When Armand and Susan Rocco–the future owners of The Kitchenworks–were remodeling their home, Susan simply couldn’t find someone to do their kitchen who could earn her confidence. All of the designers she spoke to were men, and none seemed to have much cooking experience and a deeper understanding of kitchen functionality. Finally, she decided to design her own kitchen and had it built by a respected cabinetry company. Once the job was completed, the firm let her know that she had a natural talent. As friends who saw her kitchen started asking for her help, she started to sell jobs out of her home. Now, 30 years, three expansions and two showrooms later, The Kitchenworks is still building dream kitchens. In the meantime, they’ve also built their services and selections.
The other half of this couple, Armand, loves to cook and is a lover of gadgets large and small. Naturally, Armand’s strengths are responsible for the appliance side of the business. He procures top-of-the-line appliances, everything from ranges and refrigerators to ironing boards that practically do the work for you. The showroom is a delight for home chefs and entertainers.
The Roccos’ love and appreciation for the diversity of Fort Lauderdale shows in their work, which is as individual and special as each of their clients. Their showroom is a testament to this as no design vignette mirrors another, assuring there is a style to inspire everyone.
